Our camps are for children aged from 4-16 years old. There will be two age groups during the camps

Full Day:  9am – 4pm

Half Day (AM): 9am – 12pm

Half Day (PM): 1pm – 4pm

Extended Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm

Week 1: July 2nd to 5th (4 Day Week) FULL
Theme: Famous Artists and Their Subjects
Ages: 4-10 years old

Students learn about famous artists, such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Vincent Van Gogh, Picasso, and Rembrandt. This week students get to learn about various artists and their painting subjects. Students will explore the use of materials, such as conte, charcoal, pastel, clay, acrylic and watercolour.

Week 1: July 2nd to 5th (4 Day Week) FULL
Theme: Digital Art!: Photoshop + Illustrator

Ages: 10-16 years old

Students learn how to create designs and artwork using digital software. Students will learn how to use the programs and create various digital art pieces.

Week 2: July 8th to 12th FULL

Theme: Painting Animals and Their Habitats
Ages: 4-16 years old

 

This week, students will explore animals and create paintings inspired by facts about animals and their habitats. Each day, we will be exploring different animals, such as bears, birds, reptiles and tigers. This week will consist of fun projects where students will understand better how animals live.

Week 3: July 15th to 19th
Theme: Character Design, Comic + Figure Drawing
Ages: 4-16 years old

 

Students will learn how to draw figures and characters. Children get to learn how to draw human proportions, and learning how to draw the various features of the face. For teens, they get the choice of drawing their characters on their digital devices. 

Week 4: July 22nd to 26th
Theme: Painting Foundations: Still Life, Landscape, Animals
Ages: 4-16 years old

 

This week, students learn about painting foundations, for both watercolour and acrylic. Students will explore various subjects, such as still life, characters and animals in painting. 

Week 5: July 29th to August 2nd
Theme: Drawing Fundamentals: Portraits, Still Life, Animals
Ages: 4-16 years old

 

This week, students will develop their drawing fundamentals for the following subjects: portraits, still life, landscape, animals, and characters. This week will consist of fun drawing projects, where students both develop their shading skills, and drawing techniques for the subjects.

Week 6: August 6th to 9th (4 Day Week)
Theme: Exploring Art Around the World
Ages: 4-10 years old

 

It is important to look at art from other cultures. The world is a colourful place of different languages, skin colours, and different cultures. To build an appreciation for other cultures around the world, we will look at the various artwork produced by the different areas of the world. Through looking into and exploring other cultures, this will allow students to see the way people live and gain appreciation of the many cultures we have.

Week 6: August 6th to 9th (4 Day Week)
Theme: Watercolour, Ink, Mixed Media

Ages: 10-16 years old

 

This week focuses on watercolour techniques, ink and mixed media art. Throughout the week, students will be given different topics and themes and come up with creative ways to display those themes through different media.

Week 7: August 12th to 16th
Theme: All about Illustration!: Drawing + Character / Environment Design
Ages: 4-16 years old

 

This week focuses on drawing and painting fundamentals. Student will also get to create children book inspired characters, environments, posters and all about illustration. They will learn about techniques and learning how to draw animals, people, landscapes and perspective. Throughout the week, students will be given different topics and themes and come up with creative ways to display those themes. For students that enjoy anime and cartoons, this is also included as an option for them to explore. 

Week 8: August 19th to 23rd
Theme: Clay Fun! + 3D Art Creations
Ages: 4-16 years old

 

Students learn how to create 3D art, using a wide variety of materials include clay, recycled materials, string, plaster and much more! 

Week 9: August 26th to 30th
Theme: Exploring Famous Artists and Their Styles

Ages: 4-10 years old

 

Students learn about different artists, such as Picasso and Monet, and learn how different artists use different styles in expressing themselves!

Week 9: August 26th to 30th
